H.R. 6064 — Protecting Homes from Trains Act of 2025

This section directs the Secretary of Transportation to establish, not later than 180 days after enactment, a grant program to provide grants to eligible recipients—including states, political subdivisions, public agencies, Amtrak or intercity rail passenger carriers, Class II or III railroads or their associations or holding companies, and certain rail carrier partnerships—for designing or constructing barriers adjacent to rail lines and between those lines and residential areas affected by train derailments, noise, or vibrations. The section authorizes $100 million for the program for each of FY2026 through 2030.
