H.R. 6255 — Affordable Insulin Now Act

This section requires group health plans and health insurance issuers offering group or individual coverage to provide coverage for selected insulin products (i.e., at least one of each dosage form and type of insulin, as selected by the plan or issuer) without any deductible and with cost-sharing not exceeding the lesser of $35 or 25% of the net negotiated price per 30-day supply, for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2026. Such cost-sharing counts toward deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums; plans are not required to cover out-of-network selected insulin products and may impose higher cost-sharing for them or any cost-sharing on non-selected insulin products otherwise permitted by law.
