H.R. 6267 — Aviation Supply Chain Safety and Security Digitization Act of 2025

This section directs the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study on impediments to using digital documentation and verification in the aviation supply chain to identify falsified documentation and counterfeit parts. The study must evaluate adoption challenges for supply chain participants—including manufacturers, repair stations, air carriers, aircraft lessors, brokers, and others—in using digital authorized release certificates (e.g., FAA Form 8130-3), digital verification tools, standardized documentation, and the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) transition from paper-based records and physical signatures to digital equivalents; the Comptroller General must submit a report with recommendations to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation within one year of enactment, and the Secretary of Transportation must respond within 120 days to any recommendations directed to the Department of Transportation or its offices.
