H.R. 6281 — CHARGE Act of 2025

This section establishes a grant program, to be administered by the Secretary of Energy not later than 180 days after enactment, to award grants to eligible entities for qualifying projects at federally qualified health centers (FQHCs). Qualifying projects involve installing solar energy systems or energy storage technologies at FQHCs or providing related technical assistance on design, installation, operation, or use; eligible entities include units of state or local government, FQHCs, nonprofit membership organizations representing FQHCs, and FQHC-majority-owned or -controlled provider consortia or networks. The section authorizes $50 million for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030.
