H.R. 6330 — Federal Relocation Payment Improvement Act

This section establishes authority under the federal travel and transportation subchapter for agencies to pay a one-time lump-sum relocation payment to an employee who relocates in the interest of the government, in lieu of any other payments authorized under that subchapter (which reimburses federal civilian employees for allowable relocation expenses such as household goods shipment and temporary lodging). It directs the Administrator of General Services to prescribe implementing regulations on agency authorization criteria, lump-sum calculation methods, and employee dispute processes (including appeals to the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals).
