H.R. 6340 — Save the Green to Gold Program Act

This section revises the exception under 10 U.S.C. 2106(c) to the general prohibition on crediting enlisted service performed during the Senior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (SROTC) advanced training period toward an officer's length of service, expanding it to include any such service performed on or after the date of enactment of the Save the Green to Gold Program Act regardless of military component (in addition to service on or after August 1, 1979, as a member of the Selected Reserve). (Thus, SROTC graduates with recent enlisted service in active duty, National Guard, or other components may receive credit toward promotions, pay, and retirement.)
