H.R. 6448 — TASA Act of 2025

This section revises the criteria in 49 U.S.C. 47109(f)(1) for airports eligible for a 95% federal share of project costs under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP). Qualifying airports are those (A) receiving Essential Air Service (EAS) compensation provided to an air carrier under subchapter II of chapter 417 of title 49, U.S. Code, or (B) located in a U.S. territory and designated an eligible point under section 419 of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 on October 24, 1978. (Thus, certain territorial airports now qualify for the higher federal share previously limited to EAS-subsidized airports.)
