H.R. 6475 — Preventing Child Trafficking Act of 2025

This section defines the term “anti-trafficking recommendations” as the recommendations set forth in the Government Accountability Office report entitled “Child Trafficking: Addressing Challenges to Public Awareness and Survivor Support,” published on December 11, 2023.

This section directs the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) of the Department of Justice, in coordination with the Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) of the Administration for Children and Families, to continue implementing anti-trafficking recommendations by (1) collaborating in accordance with leading practices referenced in GAO–24–106038 to develop and implement strategies preventing child trafficking and supporting survivors, and (2) establishing achievable, objective, measurable, and quantifiable performance goals and targets for child anti-trafficking programs using baseline data from grantees. It further requires the OVC Director to submit a report to the Senate and House Judiciary Committees within 180 days of enactment describing steps taken pursuant to these directives.
