H.R. 6478 — Air Guard STATUS Act of 2025

This section requires the Secretary of the Air Force to establish a permanent program to provide tuition assistance under 10 U.S.C. 2007(a)–(c) to members of the Air National Guard who comply with training requirements prescribed under 32 U.S.C. 502(a). (As background, 10 U.S.C. 2007 authorizes secretaries of the military departments to pay all or part of tuition or expenses for off-duty education or training for active duty members and certain reserve component members, subject to active duty or reserve service obligations of up to four years for officers.)
