H.R. 655 — Dalles Watershed Development Act

This section directs the Secretary of Agriculture, if the City of The Dalles submits a written request within one year of enactment, to convey to the city without consideration approximately 150 acres of National Forest System land in the Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon (depicted as “parcel A” on the map entitled “The Dalles Conveyance Parcel A,” dated November 4, 2024). The conveyance is by quitclaim deed, subject to valid existing rights and additional terms to protect U.S. interests; the city must pay all administrative costs, including survey; and the land must be used for public purposes, including municipal water supply and related infrastructure, with reversion to the United States if used otherwise.
