H.R. 6577 — Stop Penalizing Working Seniors Act

This section allows individuals entitled only to Medicare Part A hospital insurance benefits (pursuant to enrollment under section 226(a) of the Social Security Act) to contribute to health savings accounts (HSAs), effective for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2024. (Previously, any Medicare entitlement under IRC §223(b)(7) prohibited HSA contributions.)
