H.R. 6612 — Defense Civilian Faculty Copyright Act of 2025

This section adds the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences to the list of covered institutions in 17 U.S.C. §105(d)(2) and makes conforming amendments to the cross-references in subsection (c). (Thus, the Secretary of Defense may direct civilian faculty members at that university who produce covered works in the course of their employment to provide the federal government with an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, nonexclusive license to reproduce, distribute, perform, or display such works.)
