H.R. 6614 — Chemical Disaster Prevention Act

This section prohibits the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from proposing, finalizing, or implementing any action to reconsider, revise, or replace the March 2024 Risk Management Program (RMP) rule under the Clean Air Act (i.e., facilities' prevention requirements for accidental releases of hazardous chemicals) during the period beginning on the date of enactment through January 20, 2029. (Thus, the rule's enhanced safety measures for communities near chemical facilities remain in effect without modification during that time.)
