H.R. 6627 — Improving the Enlisted to Officer Judge Advocate Program Act

This section increases the maximum commissioned service required for eligibility to be detailed as a student at a law school, for officers receiving funding for educational expenses from a military department, from eight years to 10 years (10 U.S.C. 2004(b)(1)(A)(ii)). (The program details commissioned officers to accredited law schools to qualify for appointment as judge advocates.) It also revises related eligibility descriptions and makes technical amendments to conform statutory cross-references.
