H.R. 6630 — Expanding Mental Health Access for Cyber Command Personnel Act

This section requires the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness and the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, in coordination with the Principal Cyber Advisors of the military departments and the Commander of U.S. Cyber Command, to jointly carry out an initiative beginning not later than one year after enactment to address occupational resiliency challenges (defined as behavioral health challenges relating to occupation and work-related stress) at Cyber Mission Force duty locations. The initiative must ensure that behavioral health professionals are assigned to operating locations of U.S. Cyber Command and the Cyber Mission Force and that each such professional holds the necessary security clearance to treat assigned Armed Forces members. The section further requires the Under Secretary for Personnel and Readiness and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy to provide annual briefings to the Armed Services Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives for three years beginning on the initiative's commencement date on (1) the initiative's status, (2) validation of professionals' security clearances, (3) analysis of clinical acuity treated, (4) identified challenges, (5) efforts to improve awareness among Cyber Mission Force members of available professionals, and (6) other appropriate information.
