H.R. 6848 — Whole Health for Veterans Act

This section establishes copayment rules for Department of Veterans Affairs Whole Health well-being services notwithstanding existing copayment authorities, authorizing a monthly copayment not to exceed $30 (with no copayments required for veterans in enrollment priority groups 1 through 5). Whole Health well-being services include (1) educational and skill-building services such as Whole Health coaching, partner sessions, and courses and (2) complementary and integrative health services such as guided imagery, meditation, Tai Chi/Qigong, and yoga that promote health, well-being, and self-care independent of specific medical conditions. (As background, the Whole Health program encourages veterans to proactively improve their health and wellness; current VA policy exempts priority groups 1 through 5 from copayments for these services.)
