H.R. 6905 — Argentina Bailout Oversight Act

This section directs the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study on the 2025 financial crisis in Argentina that examines (1) the origins of the crisis; (2) U.S. government and International Monetary Fund awareness of and advice on Argentina's financial problems; (3) the U.S. and international response, including terms of U.S. assistance agreements; (4) the statutory authority of the Secretary of the Treasury to use the Exchange Stabilization Fund for such assistance; and (5) Argentina's recovery efforts. The Comptroller General must submit a report with findings to the House Committee on Financial Services and the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs within 18 months of enactment and then publish it on the Government Accountability Office website.
