This section takes approximately 3,156 acres of Bureau of Land Management-administered land in southern Nevada, as generally depicted on the map entitled “Southern Nevada Land Management” and dated November 14, 2024, into trust for the benefit of the Las Vegas Tribe of Paiute Indians of the Las Vegas Indian Colony, Nevada, subject to valid existing rights, and deems the land part of the tribe's reservation. The section further (1) directs the Secretary of the Interior to complete a boundary survey within 180 days of enactment; (2) requires the tribe to grant, within 30 days of enactment, an approximately 300-foot-wide right-of-way to a qualified electric utility for construction and maintenance of high-voltage transmission facilities consistent with existing renewable energy transmission agreements on the tribe's Snow Mountain Reservation; (3) prohibits class II gaming (i.e., bingo and certain non-banking card games) and class III gaming (i.e., casino-style games such as slot machines) on the land, as defined in the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act; (4) states that it neither affirms nor denies federal reserved rights to surface water or groundwater and that the tribe retains any rights or claims to water under state law; (5) preserves implementation of the March 2021 intergovernmental agreement between the tribe and the City of Las Vegas; and (6) repeals section 3092 of the Carl Levin and Howard P. “Buck” McKeon National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015 (Public Law 113–291).
