This section modifies the review requirements for noise criteria and reports under the Noise Control Act of 1972 (42 U.S.C. 4904) by (1) limiting the ongoing "from time to time" review authority in subsection (c) to reports only (previously criteria or reports), (2) requiring the EPA Administrator to review noise criteria not later than two years after enactment of the Noise Oversight and Information for Safe Environments Act and at least every 10 years thereafter, revising or supplementing them if necessary, and (3) redesignating the Federal Register publication requirements as subsection (e). (As background, noise criteria reflect scientific knowledge on the effects of differing quantities and qualities of noise on public health and welfare.)
