H.R. 7065 — Seneca Nation Law Enforcement Efficiency Act

This section nullifies New York State's jurisdiction over offenses committed by or against Indians on Seneca Nation of Indians reservations, as granted by 25 U.S.C. 232 (i.e., the Act of July 2, 1948), subject to written concurrence by the U.S. Attorney General and the Seneca Nation of Indians. (As background, that law extended state jurisdiction over such offenses on Indian reservations within New York to the same extent as elsewhere in the state, while preserving tribal hunting and fishing rights.)
