H.R. 7097 — No American Benefits Abroad Act

This section prohibits individuals receiving public assistance (i.e., any payment or benefit from a means-tested welfare or public assistance program) from transferring money from the United States to persons or entities outside the United States via international wire transfer. It requires international wire transfer providers to obtain written notification from customers disclosing whether they receive such assistance prior to providing services.
