H.R. 7150 — To amend title 38, United States Code, to require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to submit to Congress a quarterly report on housing loans insured, guaranteed, or under laws administered by the Secretary, and for other purposes.

This section requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to submit quarterly reports to the Committees on Veterans’ Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Senate on the administration of housing loan benefits under VA home loan guaranty authorities (38 U.S.C. ch. 37). The reports, covering the preceding quarter, must include (1) the number of housing loans insured, guaranteed, or made; (2) the number of applications denied; (3) the number of such loans refinanced under 38 U.S.C. 3710(a)(8) or 3712; (4) the number of veterans with associated mortgage payments at least 60 days late and at least 90 days late; and (5) the number of full-time employees of the VA Home Loan Guaranty Service (or successor office). (The provision also designates the existing biennial discussion of chapter 37 activities in the Secretary’s annual report under 38 U.S.C. 529 as subsection (a).)
