H.R. 716 — Fill the Lake Act

This section directs the Secretary of the Interior, from June 15 through September 15 each year, to ensure Flathead Lake levels of at least 2892 feet MSL (minimum) by providing water from Hungry Horse Reservoir and no more than 2893 feet MSL (maximum) by releasing excess water downstream. (Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River in northwest Montana, supports recreation, irrigation, and fisheries that benefit from stable summer pool levels.)
