H.R. 7271 — Evan Anzoo Memorial Act

This section directs the Comptroller General of the United States to submit to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, and make publicly available on a website, a final report within one year of enactment that includes (1) an estimate of deaths in 2025 due to the USAID stop work order, discontinuation of USAID services, and shuttering of USAID; (2) an estimate of anticipated deaths over the next five years due to lack of access to prior USAID services; (3) a determination of whether any of 10 specified individuals (e.g., Evan Anzoo, 5, South Sudan) died as a result of these actions; and (4) a list of other known individuals who died as a result. It further requires an interim update to the committees within 180 days of enactment on the findings as of that date with respect to these matters.
