H.R. 7277 — Emergency Medical Services Reimbursement for On-Scene and Support Act

This section expands the definition of ambulance services under Medicare Part B to include, effective January 1, 2026, services described under current law that are furnished by a qualified provider or supplier regardless of whether the provider or supplier provides transport for the individual at a reimbursement comparable to the transport reimbursement. (As background, Medicare Part B ambulance services currently cover only medically necessary transportation to a hospital or other facility by licensed providers or suppliers meeting federal standards.)
