H.R. 7392 — To impose a hiring freeze on United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and for other purposes.

This section establishes a hiring freeze for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), prohibiting the obligation or expenditure of federal funds to appoint individuals to ICE positions or to detail or transfer federal employees to ICE, beginning on the date of enactment. The freeze ceases to apply on the date following enactment when Congress enacts a law specifically superseding, overriding, or modifying the prohibition.
