H.R. 7480 — FAIR Act

This section requires a 3.1% adjustment in rates of basic pay for calendar year 2027 under statutory pay systems (i.e., General Schedule, Foreign Service, and Veterans Health Administration positions other than certain senior executive positions). It also increases by 3.1% for fiscal year 2027 the rates of basic pay for prevailing rate employees (i.e., federal wage system blue-collar workers) in each wage area and under special rate authorities (ss. 5348, 5349), notwithstanding wage survey requirements.
