H.R. 7544 — Illegal Alien Animal Abuser Removal Act of 2026

This section establishes new grounds of inadmissibility under INA §212(a)(2)(J) and deportability under INA §237(a)(2)(G) related to animal cruelty, animal abuse, or animal fighting. It renders inadmissible any alien convicted of, who admits having committed, or who admits committing acts constituting the essential elements of (i) an offense under 18 U.S.C. §§48 or 49 or (ii) any state, tribal, or local offense involving animal cruelty, animal abuse, or animal fighting (misdemeanor or felony); and renders deportable any alien convicted of such offenses.
