H.R. 7596 — Improving Housing Access Act

This section directs the Comptroller General of the United States, not later than one year after enactment, to conduct a study identifying options to remove barriers and improve housing for elderly or disabled persons, including potential impacts of providing capital advances for (1) the supportive housing for the elderly program under section 202 of the Housing Act of 1959 (i.e., HUD capital advances and rental assistance for low-income seniors); and (2) the supportive housing for persons with disabilities program under section 811 of the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act (i.e., HUD capital advances and rental assistance for low-income disabled persons).
