H.R. 7669 — Rejecting the Erasure of Afghan Women and Girls Act

This section directs the Secretary of State to submit to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, not later than 180 days after enactment, a report that (1) describes Taliban restrictions on women and girls in Afghanistan since August 2021; and (2) determines whether those restrictions constitute crimes against humanity, torture as defined in the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, or gross violations of human rights as defined in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.
