H.R. 7676 — Career-Connected Learning Pathways Act of 2026

This section amends the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (1) to revise permissible state leadership activities by replacing paragraph 124(b)(12) (20 U.S.C. 2344(b)(12)) with a new provision authorizing states to develop, publish, and maintain a searchable public statewide directory of career and technical education programs of study and career pathways that (A) includes specified program information, (B) is searchable by school district or political subdivision, industry or career cluster, and available credential, (C) uses standard, open, linked, and interoperable data formats, and (D) is updated at least once each program year; and (2) to require eligible recipients, if a state elects this activity, to report detailed information on each such program—including name, description, location, career cluster, course sequence, credits or credentials, affiliations, work-based learning opportunities, and labor market alignment evidence—for inclusion in the directory (20 U.S.C. 2354(b)(10)).
