H.R. 7772 — LIGHT Safety Act

This section directs the Secretary of Transportation, acting through the Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, to issue a final rule not later than one year after enactment revising Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 108 (49 C.F.R. 571.108; i.e., the standard governing lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment on motor vehicles) to establish a maximum allowable brightness standard for low beam headlamps, expressed in lumens or another appropriate photometric measurement.
