H.R. 7782 — American Passport Card Accessibility Act

This section prohibits the Secretary of State from charging a fee for the issuance or reissuance of a passport card, notwithstanding the general passport fee authority under the Passport Act of 1920 (22 U.S.C. 214). (Thus, passport cards—limited-validity, wallet-sized documents for land and sea travel to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda—would be provided at no cost, except for expedited processing fees.)
