H.R. 7893 — FAFSA Verification Efficiency Act

This section requires the Secretary of Education, notwithstanding any other provision of law and in cooperation with the Commissioner of the Social Security Administration, to verify the social security number and citizenship status of any individual providing such information to the Secretary for federal student aid under sections 483 (financial aid applications), 484(a) (general eligibility certification), and 494 (institutional verification requirements) of the Higher Education Act of 1965.
