H.R. 7946 — Jury Duty Exemption for Breastfeeding Act of 2026

This section establishes an exemption from federal jury service for any breastfeeding individual summoned who requests excusal by the court (or by the clerk, if authorized by the court's jury selection plan). It makes a conforming amendment to the introductory clause of 28 U.S.C. §1866(c) to reference the new exemption and provides a parallel exemption from jury service in the D.C. courts for any breastfeeding individual who requests excusal by the court.
