H.R. 8019 — U.S.-Greece Defense Cooperation Advancement Act

This section authorizes the President to provide International Military Education and Training (IMET) assistance to Greece for purposes including (1) training future leaders, (2) fostering a better understanding of the United States, (3) establishing rapport between U.S. and Greek armed forces to build partnerships, (4) enhancing interoperability and capabilities for joint operations, and (5) focusing on professional military education, civilian control of the military, and protection of human rights. It authorizes appropriations of $1.8 million for each of FY2027 through FY2031 to carry out this section.
