This section adds two enhanced penalties to 18 U.S.C. 111 for offenses against federal law enforcement officers of the Department of Homeland Security or Department of Justice. (1) Subsection (c) imposes a fine or imprisonment for not more than 20 years, or both, for using a vehicle to forcibly assault, resist, intimidate, or interfere with such an officer while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties. (2) Subsection (d) imposes a fine or imprisonment for not more than 20 years, or both, for forcibly assaulting, resisting, opposing, impeding, intimidating, or interfering with such an officer while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties in a federal law enforcement vehicle. (The existing extraterritorial jurisdiction provision is redesignated as subsection (e).)
