This section establishes the United States Secret Service Reserve Fund to cover necessary expenses, including salaries of employees providing protection, for individuals protected under 18 U.S.C. §3056 (i.e., the President, Vice President, their families, former presidents and vice presidents, and certain foreign dignitaries and candidates) during a lapse in Secret Service appropriations. The Director of the Secret Service may use the fund only from the lapse date until the earlier of its end or 30 days thereafter; appropriates $106 million for deposit into the fund; requires transfer of any unused amounts remaining as of December 31, 2026, to the Treasury for rescission by January 31, 2027; and directs a report on fund uses and transactions to specified congressional committees (i.e., House and Senate Committees on House Administration, Rules and Administration, the Judiciary, and Appropriations) within 30 days thereafter.
