H.R. 8071 — Strengthening and Improving Mobilization Act of 2026

This section directs the Defense Production Act Committee to conduct a discussion-based simulation (commonly known as a table-top exercise) at least once every five years to determine the resources needed and best use of authorities under Titles I and III of the Defense Production Act. (As background, Title I provides priorities and allocations authorities, and Title III provides authorities to expand productive capacity and supply, both for national defense purposes.)

This section corrects a clerical error in the short title of the Defense Production Act of 1950 (i.e., striking “cited as “the Defense” and inserting “cited as the “Defense”), effective as of the date of the Act's original enactment.
