This section designates the Endless Mountains National Heritage Area in Pennsylvania—consisting of Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties and portions of other counties identified in the relevant feasibility study, with boundaries established by the Secretary of the Interior—as a component of the National Heritage Area System established by the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act. (As background, National Heritage Areas promote the conservation of cultural, historic, scenic, and natural resources through public-private partnerships, with the Secretary providing technical and financial assistance.) It designates Endless Mountains Heritage Region, Inc., as the local coordinating entity; directs that entity to submit a proposed management plan for approval within three years of enactment; and terminates the Secretary's assistance authority for the area 15 years after enactment.
