This section establishes a publicly accessible database, to be maintained by the Election Assistance Commission, containing information on private vendors that provide, support, or maintain components of election systems (e.g., voting systems, election management systems, voter registration databases) used in federal elections, as submitted by states and localities responsible for such elections. It requires those entities to submit vendor details—(1) identity, (2) contract terms (except security-sensitive information), and (3) ownership information (including parent companies, beneficial owners, and foreign interests)—within 30 days after each federal election; prohibits federal election administration funds for noncompliance; and makes conforming and clerical amendments to the Help America Vote Act of 2002. The requirements apply to elections for federal office held in 2026 and succeeding years.
