This section revises the national vaccine awareness campaign to prioritize increasing vaccination rates among pregnant and postpartum individuals in communities with low vaccination rates; expands vaccine information dissemination under the campaign to health care providers and facilities offering prenatal, obstetric, and pediatric care; and includes pregnant and postpartum individuals in vaccine-related information provided. It increases authorized funding for the campaign to $17 million for each of FY2027 through FY2031 (from $15 million for FY2021 through FY2025). The section also adds to the purposes of CDC immunization grants to states and localities a requirement to increase vaccination rates of pregnant and postpartum individuals—including from racial and ethnic minority groups—and their children.
