H.R. 8215 — Volume II Transparency Act of 2026

This section requires the Attorney General to publish volume II of the report prepared by Special Counsel Jack Smith on the Department of Justice website not later than 7 days after enactment of this Act, notwithstanding any other provision of law. The section authorizes the Attorney General to redact (1) the name and identifying information of a witness who did not aid or abet a criminal offense described in the volume, (2) the name and identifying information of a victim of such an offense, or (3) national security information; a redaction under (3) may be publicly disclosed if the Attorney General determines it is in the public interest.
