H.R. 8266 — Gasoline Export Ban Act of 2026

This section directs the President to prohibit the exportation of gasoline produced in the United States (i.e., articles classifiable under subheading 2710.12 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule) during any period when the national average gasoline price has been $3.12 per gallon or higher for seven consecutive days, ending when the price has been below $3.12 per gallon for seven consecutive days. The President may exempt exports consistent with the national interest and impose appropriate terms and conditions.
