H.R. 8362 — Transit Workforce Development Act

This section modifies the use of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant funds for public transportation workforce development training by (1) amending the Technical Assistance and Workforce Development program to allow funds from the Urbanized Area Formula Grants program (sec. 5307) and State of Good Repair Grants program (sec. 5337), plus not more than 10% of amounts from the Buses and Bus Facilities Grants program (sec. 5339) (previously, all amounts from secs. 5307, 5337, and 5339); and (2) under the Buses and Bus Facilities Grants program, increasing the maximum amount available for such training to 10% (from 5%), broadening eligible activities to buses and related equipment and bus-related facilities (from zero-emission vehicles or related infrastructure), expanding applicability to grants under subsections (a), (b), or (c) (from (b) or (c)), and eliminating the requirement that training address the transition to zero-emission vehicles.
