H.R. 8449 — Federal Diversity Jurisdiction Modernization Act of 2026

This section increases the amount-in-controversy requirement for diversity jurisdiction in federal district courts to $500,000 (from $75,000). The amendment applies to civil actions commenced on or after the date of enactment.
