This section transfers administrative jurisdiction over approximately 160 acres of National Forest System land in Tuolumne County, California—described as T.1 S., R.19 E., sec. 24, SE 1/4 NE 1/4, NW 1/4 SE 1/4, NE 1/4 SE 1/4, and SE 1/4 SE 1/4, Mount Diablo Meridian, and generally depicted on the map entitled “Ackerson Meadow Land Interchange” dated February 24, 2022—to the Secretary of the Interior for management as part of Yosemite National Park and over approximately 170 acres of National Park System land—described as the SE 1/4 of sec. 23 and the land to the north and west of Road 1S25 within the NW 1/4 SE 1/4 NW 1/4 of sec. 24, T.1 S., R. 19 E., Mount Diablo Meridian, and generally depicted on the same map—to the Secretary of Agriculture for management as part of Stanislaus National Forest. The Secretaries may make minor corrections or adjustments to the transferred land by mutual agreement to facilitate management, effective upon Federal Register notice. With respect to hazardous substances on the respective lands, each Secretary must identify known sites and notify the receiving agency but retains preexisting cleanup responsibility. The transfers do not affect valid existing rights or the terms of any existing withdrawal, right-of-way, easement, lease, license, or permit, with the receiving agency assuming administration responsibility.
