H.R. 8526 — To amend the Public Health Service Act to update quality standards for mammography facilities for the use of AI systems, and for other purposes.

This section revises quality standards applicable to certified mammography facilities under the Mammography Quality Standards Act by (1) authorizing machine-learning or artificial intelligence systems, in addition to physicians, to meet certain interpretive standards and (2) eliminating the requirement that medical records and reports be signed by the interpreting physician.
