H.R. 8668 — State Department Recurring Reports Repeal and Sunset Act of 2026

This section repeals 22 specific recurring reporting requirements on foreign affairs, sanctions, defense trade, embassy security, educational exchanges, and related topics under statutes including the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023, the Department of State Authorization Acts of 2022 and 2023, the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, the Clean Diamond Trade Act, and multiple National Defense Authorization Acts. It also modifies the frequency of remaining reports under the Department of State Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 and section 6404 of the Department of State Authorization Act of 2023 from semiannual or every 180 days to annually for five years.
