H.R. 8675 — Training Rural Law Enforcement Officers Act of 2026

This section authorizes accredited nonprofit organizations with relevant law enforcement training experience and a successful track record to receive law enforcement training grants under the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968. The grants must support training provided at no cost to State and local law enforcement agencies with fewer than 50 sworn officers and must be consistent with Department of Justice priorities and objectives.
